BECOME A REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE, Committeeperson, or Volunteer. You can run as a Republican candidate on your own in the primary, but it's much better to get the Philly GOP's endorsement and assistance. And always follow the rules, which you can find at RESOURCESEMAIL the PhillyGOP and/or Philly's Republican Network.

JOIN US AT PHILLY CITY COUNCIL'S MEETINGS on Thursdays at 10 am in City Hall, Room 400. (We hold pre-meetings at 9: 15 am before the official meeting starts.) City Council is THE political arena in which we must publicly battle for our ideas to win the "hearts and minds" of our fellow Philadelphians. WE URGENTLY NEED REPUBLICANS AT CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS to speak on current issues & show support. That's what the Dems do... and it works. They have a presence at these meetings. We Republicans are building one. Our comments are even getting local and national coverage. This our BEST OPPORTUNITY to educate the public and recruit more Republicans. It's estimated that over 5,000 people are watching or listening, plus with the news & social media we can and have gone "viral". But we need many more people there. One or two speakers can't cover the wide range of bills and resolutions presented. Here is how you can make public comments.  We advise that you keep your comments to 2 minutes, which is about 225 words. You are restricted to "agenda items only" which is unconstitutional (see City Hall Regulars), but hasn't been successfully challenged yet. So, check out the AGENDA. Sign up in advance by calling 215-686-3406 by 3 pm the day before the meeting.  RSVP or email LynnLandes@gmail.com if you want to know more and/or meet us there.

JOIN your Local Civic Association, for that's where you can learn more about peoples' concerns, offer to help, as well as ask for their support for your political causes and candidates. There's no getting around it... politics is a two-way street!

WRITE LETTERS-TO-THE-EDITOR: How to submit to the Philadelphia Inquirer. They do publish letters from conservative and Republican authors. They have published several of mine, but only every 6 weeks at the most. So, we need many more Republicans to submit letters and opinion pieces.
