SAMPLE LETTER

Dear ________________,

Please support President Trump’s EO “TAKING STEPS TO END CASHLESS BAIL TO PROTECT AMERICANS”

“Maintaining order and public safety requires incarcerating individuals whose pending criminal charges or criminal history demonstrate a clear ongoing risk to society.  When these individuals are released without bail under city or State policies, they are permitted — even encouraged — to further endanger law-abiding, hard-working Americans because they know our laws will not be enforced.  Our great law enforcement officers risk their lives to arrest potentially violent criminals, only to be forced to arrest the same individuals, sometimes for the same crimes, while they await trial on the previous charges.  This is a waste of public resources and a threat to public safety. As President, I will require commonsense policies that protect Americans’ safety and well-being by incarcerating individuals who are known threats.  It is therefore the policy of my Administration that Federal policies and resources should not be used to support jurisdictions with cashless bail policies, to the maximum extent permitted by law”

There are justifiable complaints about bail. It is a 2-tiered justice system; one for the rich and the other for the poor.  It's not fair. "No bail and quick justice" may be a better solution, as is done in some sports stadiums for unruly fans. We should also guarantee much speedier justice for most crimes. In any case, there should absolutely be no bail for violent offenders, repeat offenders, or flight risks. Public safety must be the paramount concern and duty of any government.

Thank you.

Support Pres. Trump's EO "Restoring Law and Order in the District of Columbia"

(PhillyGOP 5th Ward's weekly request for you to contact your political reps and social/news media on matters of civic importance.)

SAMPLE LETTER

Dear ________________,

Please support President Trump's Executive Order (EO) Declaring a Crime Emergency in the District of Columbia and his Executive Memoranda (EM) Restoring Law and Order in the District of Columbia.  We hope that President Trump and the Department of Justice can also restore "law and order" throughout the country, as well. For too many years, people have lived in a state of lawlessness in Democratic cities and states, including Philadelphia. Their political officials took an oath to enforce the laws of the land, yet they have refused to do so. This is a blatant violation of their "oath of office" and our constitutional right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". We need the federal government to step in and help restore law and order throughout our country.  Please let President Trump know that he has your support.

Thank you.

Support Pres. Trump's EO "Guaranteeing Fair Banking For All Americans"

 SAMPLE LETTER
to your US Senators and Congressmembers - http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/home/findyourlegislator

Dear ________________,

The U.S. Congress should ratify through legislative action President Trump's EO  "Guaranteeing Fair Banking For All Americans"

"Bank regulators have used supervisory scrutiny and other influence over regulated banks to direct or otherwise encourage politicized or unlawful debanking activities.  “Operation Chokepoint,” for example, was a well-documented and systemic means by which Federal regulators pushed banks to minimize their involvement with individuals and companies engaged in lawful activities and industries disfavored by regulators based on factors other than individualized, objective, risk-based standards. As a result, individuals, their businesses, and their families have been subjected to debanking on the basis of their political affiliations, religious beliefs or lawful business activities, and have suffered frozen payrolls, debt and crushing interest, and other significant harms to their livelihoods, reputations, and financial well-being.  Such practices are incompatible with a free society and the principle that the provision of banking services should be based on material, measurable, and justifiable risks.  Such practices, when wielded to discriminate against customers and businesses in credit transactions due to their religion, are also unlawful under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (15 U.S.C. 1691 et seq.).  They further undermine public trust in banking institutions and their regulators, discriminate against political beliefs and free expression of those beliefs, and weaponize a politicized regulatory state."

It's time to put a stop to "debanking". Please ratify President Trump's EO  "Guaranteeing Fair Banking For All Americans" with strong legislation,
so that this never happens again.  Thank you.

Oppose the Legalization of "Recreational Marijuana" by the Pennsylvania Senate

SAMPLE LETTER  to your PA Senator - http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/home/findyourlegislator

Dear ________________,

The Pennsylvania Senate should NOT legalize 'recreational marijuana'.  In a state that is already suffering from an opioid and heroin epidemic - https://www.attorneygeneral.gov/protect-yourself/opioid-battle, it doesn't  make sense to 'pile on' with allowing recreational marijuana.  We need to get serious about protecting the public's health, which is already in a precarious state. We also need to protect 'non-users' from second-hand pot smoke, which is a significant problem in many communities.  Approving medical marijuana was a very questionable decision to begin with, as marijuana has many more downsides than up. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has chronicled marijuana's innumerable, serious, and deadly health consequences - https://www.cdc.gov/cannabis/site.html. The CDC has also reported on similar adverse impacts of second-hand exposure to pot smoke - https://www.cdc.gov/cannabis/health-effects/secondhand-smoke.html. It should be noted that Pennsylvania State Health authorities have failed to protect the public from high potency contaminated 'hemp' products, as reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer - https://www.inquirer.com/news/a/pennsylvania-smoke-shops-weed-toxic-chemicals-mold-20250729.html.  Why add to this disaster by legalizing the sale of recreational marijuana, a well documented addictive and destructive drug?  It may be a financial bonanza, but allowing marijuana's "recreational use" is already a public health disaster.

Support Pres. Trump's EO "ENDING CRIME & DISORDER ON AMERICA’S STREETS"

 SAMPLE LETTER  t
o your federal, state, & local political reps - SEE POLITICAL CONTACT LIST

Dear ________________,

Public safety is the most important role of government, which is why I strongly support President Trump's July 24, 2025 Mental Health Executive Order “Ending Crime and Disorder on America’s Streets”. https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/07/ending-crime-and-disorder-on-americas-streets

In Philadelphia, as well as in many cities and towns across the country, local government officials have taken a “soft on crime” approach to law enforcement, as well as abandoned our mentally disabled and/or drug addicted residents to live on the streets. As a result, many of our communities are plagued with criminals, panhandlers, and the homeless.

Many mentally-disabled people need mandatory long-term or even life-time care in secure facilities. President Trump’s Executive Order addresses that issue.  We also want the federal government to ensure that any medications and treatments prescribed for the mentally disabled have been thoroughly tested for safety and effectiveness. Furthermore, it is vital that we address the root causes of our mental health crisis, including toxic exposures. See https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender_category/toxic-exposures

Our local police, district attorneys, and state attorneys general should ensure the safety of our communities or else face prosecution by the Department of Justice (DOJ). Most importantly, the US Congress, as well as state and local legislative bodies, should strengthen our laws in order to support President Trump’s Executive Order. We need to finally fix these systemic government failures to protect the public’s health and safety.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Support PA's Senate Bill 9 "The Fairness in Women’s Sports Act"!

SAMPLE LETTER  to your PA House reps - http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/home/findyourlegislator

https://www.inquirer.com/opinion/letters/letters-editor-july-20-2025-fetterman-trans-athletes-penn-20250720.html?query=be%20fair

Democratic representatives in the state House should support, and Gov. Josh Shapiro should sign, the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act. The Republican-controlled state Senate has already passed it with bipartisan support, but House Democrats seem to be causing some delays. It’s past time to protect our girls and women. In fact, this violation of girls’ and women’s rights should never have happened. Men are, on average, bigger (15%-20%) and stronger (33%) than women. Therefore, pitting males against females is a direct threat to women’s health and well-being. Furthermore, allowing the presence of naked males (or females) in the locker rooms and showers of the opposite sex is a crime. It’s called “indecent exposure.” Women have already suffered enough physical, emotional, and legal injuries, plus lost awards and grants, due to this misplaced empathy for males who want to identify as females. And to that point, many support a separate category for transgender athletes. So why continue to allow girls’ and women’s rights to be so unfairly and unnecessarily violated? Pass the bill now.
